Amit Klein graduated from the Bioinformatics program at UCSD in 2023. He was accepted to the PhD Program in Bioengineering at UCSD.
Dalila Gonzalez Mejia graduated from the Bioengineering program at UCSD in 2022. She is pursuing clinical applications of data science.
Neha Manjunath-Murkal earned her MS from the Computer Science program.
Joseph Natale was a postdoctoral fellow and expert in information theory. He is translating his expertise in industry.
Dr. Patrick Kasl was the first student to complete a PhD in my lab. He defended in mid 2024, leaving for an excellent job with a start up.
Dr. Varun Viswanath was the second PhD from my lab in late 2024. He is working for Oura Ring now. Hard to have more a pro pos experience!
Ishita Khatri earned her MS from Data Science as well as an award for outstanding thesis modeling women's health dynamics.
Kristin Varner earned her MS in Bioengineering with a thesis demonstrating equivalence of variance over time in men and women.
Jake Ryan graduated, then moved through a masters, then transferred to a PhD program in all through Data Science.
Seohyun Park earned her MS in Bioengineering, with a Distinguished Thesis Award, for developing a pipeline to identify and parameters of women's cycles in multimodal time series.
John Stephens, MS in Mathematics from UCSD, was hired away by the San Diego Supercomputer Center.
Dr. Severine Soltani graduated in Fall 2025, and is continuing some collaborations on depression and aging.
Dr. Jamison Burks graduated in Fall 2025, and is now a postdoc at TUM, expanding his considerable modeling skills to include molecular systems.
